Homelike hotel atmosphere
The suburb of Skejby is experiencing an increasing concentration of businesses and educational institutions, and at Aarhus University Hospital - the largest workplace in Aarhus, the second-largest city in Denmark. With all this development, Hotel GUESTapart has sensed there is a local need for a different kind of hotel.
GUESTapart is centred around the needs of its guests, and the hotel and its 86 apartments have been designed with these in mind. You can cook your own meals in the well-equipped apartment kitchens, or dine in the hotel restaurant, and many other factors are equally flexible.
In addition to the restaurant and bar, the hotel offers a large lounge, conference facilities and a large, modern fitness room. Designed from the ground up around its innovative concept, the hotel even looks different to other hotels.
The building is divided into smaller units enclosing a common courtyard, through which you access your apartment. The architectural design emphasises both the individual and the communal, social elements of GUESTapart.
Invitingly furnished
The hotel courtyard features a lot of greenery, as does the entire hotel. The vegetation has been used as an element to add both personality and comfort, while also contrasting with the otherwise stringent concrete, steel and glass buildings. The plants are changeable and living features, and help divide up the large lounge area.
The ceilings have been clad with black Troldtekt acoustic panels, which add depth to the room and a pleasant intimacy. Black Troldtekt panels have also been used in the fitness room, conference facilities and apartments, which are double-height and have a mezzanine bedroom.
The rooms have been furnished in a Nordic style throughout, and with a focus on how the guests will be using the apartments.
