Troldtekt withstands even the most humid rooms
Troldtekt cement-bonded wood wool can withstand high humidity levels and high temperatures. This makes the acoustic panels an obvious choice for indoor swimming pools and shower rooms, for example.
Absorbs and gives off moisture
Troldtekt panels can absorb and release moisture and are therefore ideal for ceiling and wall cladding in wet rooms, such as bathrooms, wellness areas and indoor swimming pools. Troldtekt acoustic panels can also be used outdoors, for example under overhangs. The material cannot rot, and does not provide a breeding ground for fungi or other microorganisms.
Troldtekt acoustic panels are dimensionally stable and retain their flatness – even in humid environments. There is no warping over time. If the air humidity in a room changes by 1 percentage point, the panel dimensions only change by 0.005 per cent.
Withstands even the dampest rooms
The Danish Technological Institute has documented that Troldtekt acoustic panels are suitable for installing in rooms with:
• A moisture load of up to 98% (+2/-5%)
• High temperatures of up to at least 40°C.
Troldtekt has thus achieved the highest CE marking level (D) for water resistance.
When installing the acoustic panels in very humid environments where chlorine is also present, Troldtekt supplies C5 special structure screws that are extra corrosion-resistant. This means, for example, that for suspended ceilings in indoor swimming pools, you can choose a complete C60 profile system in steel, where both the profiles and the screws are C5-rated.
