Acoustic solutions for LEED-certified buildings
How Troldtekt contributes to LEED-certified buildings
Troldtekt aims to thoroughly document the environmental impact of our products, via various product certifications for example. This contributes positively to LEED certification. The use of certified wood and the possibility of recycling also count towards the score.
Working with Ramboll, we have prepared a documentation package to make it easier for auditors to calculate the specific contribution of our products to the various LEED criteria.
Troldtekt® can contribute to criteria that make up 20 per cent of the points
A building can achieve a maximum of 110 points in a LEED certification. Troldtekt contributes positively to the criteria, totalling 22 of the points – equivalent to 20 per cent. The criteria where Troldtekt contributes are all within the areas of Material and Resources and Indoor Environmental Quality.
The table is based on LEED version 4.1 New Construction.
Note that Troldtekt cannot fulfil all of the criterion's points, but that our acoustic panels have a positive impact on its overall score. Troldtekt’s contribution will be project-specific.
