Acoustic solutions for certified buildings

Systematise construction

Certified buildings are constructed based on special requirements for the environment, indoor climate, user-friendliness, wellbeing and economic efficiency.

Voluntary building certifications make it much more manageable to develop buildings with a holistic approach to their environmental footprint, indoor climate, economy and other factors of importance to people and the planet. The certifications are a big plus for both the users and owners of the buildings – and can help to reduce the carbon footprint of the built environment.

On this page you can read more about the different certifications – and how Troldtekt acoustic solutions contribute positively to them.

You can also download documentation packages that specifically document the impact of Troldtekt acoustic solutions on the criteria and points in each of the certifications. The documentation packages have been prepared by Ramboll.

How does Troldtekt contribute?

Troldtekt acoustic solutions make a positive difference to the certification of buildings. The acoustic panels are made from certified wood from Danish forests (FSC®C115450 and PEFC/09-31-030) and cement from raw materials extracted from the Danish subsoil.

Troldtekt’s business strategy is based on the circular Cradle to Cradle principles, and the entire range of Troldtekt cement-bonded wood wool panels, both in natural wood and painted in standard colours, is Cradle to Cradle-certified at gold level.

However, the weighting of acoustic solutions for a specific build always depends on the building in question, including the selection of other materials and the chosen certification system.

Member of the Danish Council for Sustainable Building (formerly Green Building Council Denmark)

Troldtekt is a member of the Danish Council for Sustainable Building, which works to promote sustainability in buildings and the built environment in Denmark. Among other things, the organisation administers the leading voluntary building certification in Denmark, DGNB Denmark.

The Council for Sustainable Building is a forum where we at Troldtekt can keep up to date with the latest trends in construction. At the same time, the Council is important for the spread of DGNB certification in Danish buildings. We support this and that is why we are a member. Troldtekt also has a seat on the Council for Sustainable Building's Technical Committee for Materials Content and Climate Impact.
