Unified ceiling solution

The newly built village with show houses in Ringe on Funen (Denmark) houses a range of family homes from HusCompagniet. Salamandervej 2 is an example of the potential of a flat-roofed home.

Sound-absorbing cement-bonded wood wool panels from Troldtekt are often used as acoustic ceilings in private homes

The centre part of the home has slightly higher ceilings, creating a spatial transition between the family room and the living room. The kitchen-dining area is centrally located in the home, with a large skylight and large windows facing east and west. There are tiled floors here, while the living room and bedrooms have oak floors. The transition between the dining and living areas is also marked by a bioethanol fireplace that can be enjoyed in both spaces. In the northern part of the house, children’s rooms are grouped together with a bathroom and utility room. At the opposite end of the house, the parents’ wing is located with a luxury bathroom and walk-in closet space. From the kitchen there is access to an office and a hidden storage room.

Sound absorbing with a low carbon footprint

The home consists of many functions and spaces and is nicely tied together by a recurring grey colour on the walls and robust materials such as oak and Troldtekt acoustic ceilings. The white-painted Troldtekt ceilings are used in all spaces, acting both as sound absorbers and as a consistent, homogeneous material throughout. This provides visual calm.

At HusCompagniet, Troldtekt ceilings based on FUTURECEM are optional in homes and standard in garages. FUTURECEM panels have a lower carbon footprint than Troldtekt based on white cement, making them a good choice when calculating the building’s carbon footprint. The climate impact is calculated based on the quantity and type of materials per m2 and per year over a 50-year period.

HusCompagniet focuses on using eco-labelled and indoor climate-labelled materials. Ulrich Chrone, Purchasing Director at HusCompagniet, explains: "Troldtekt based on FUTURECEM is a natural choice for HusCompagniet to have in its range, because it meets our focus on working with environmentally friendly and indoor climate-labelled materials."
