Stylish auditorium
In Kløverbyen – a new creative business park on Amager – the auditorium has been given a new lease of life, including new acoustics. The renovated auditorium is available for use by both regular tenants and visitors.
Opposite Kløvermarken (the clover field) are the former buildings of Danish Distillers, which have changed hands a couple of times since the company stopped using the site to produce alcoholic drinks. Today, the large complex of buildings is known as Kløverbyen, and is home to tenants such as Metronome Productions, Nordisk Film TV, Timm Vladimirs Køkken, TAP1 Bobles, Racket Club CPH S as well as modern shared office spaces.
The former industrial buildings exude a special rustic charm, which gives each tenancy its own unique identity and features. In many places, Troldtekt acoustic panels have been installed on the ceilings, and beautifully match the raw surroundings while fulfilling the need for good acoustics.
In addition to the auditorium, the facilities at Kløverbyen include a canteen, a lounge and conference rooms.
Designer ceilings
The inviting area at the entrance to Kløverbyen’s communal facilities greets new arrivals and welcomes them inside. Kløverbyen’s auditorium is situated next to the entrance, and can therefore be used by permanent tenants as well as outsiders hiring the auditorium on an ad hoc basis.
It was originally built as an auditorium, but has been refurbished several times. Now the concrete beams that span the room along much of its length have been highlighted by stripping off the paint to fully reveal the structure and colour of the concrete.
The auditorium can be used for many purposes, not least because so much attention has been devoted to the acoustics. Troldtekt line has been installed on the ceiling between the concrete beams, with the lines running across the room.
Together with the pale carpet and daylight flooding in from the entrance area, Troldtekt line lends a feeling of warmth to the room’s cool concrete beams.
