How Troldtekt works with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
UN member states have adopted 17 common goals to ensure a better balance in the climate and economies the world over. The targets were decided upon in 2015 and will set the course for positive development towards 2030.
Troldtekt naturally supports all 17 goals, but we have chosen to focus on the four goals that our business and activities in particular can help contribute to.
Focusing on resources and biodiversity
We strongly believe that there is a clear link between the SDGs and the initiatives we take in our business.
Troldtekt operates in an industry that accounts for about 40 per cent of society’s resource and energy consumption, which is why we can make a difference by supporting SDG 12: 'Responsible consumption and production'.
As a major buyer of raw wood, we can also make choices that can help combat the loss of biodiversity in forests – thus supporting SDG 15: 'Life on land'.
Healthy buildings and valuable partnerships
SDG 12 and SDG 15 were therefore the first goals we started looking at back in 2018. We have since added SDG 3: 'Good health and well-being' and SDG 17: 'Partnerships for the goals', as we can also support initiatives within these two goals.
